Animals should not be kept in zoos

There are several arguments about how we should treat animals well. Keeping them in zoos has many
advantages but also some disadvantages.

One point for zoos is that everybody can learn about all kinds of animals so they will not be cruel to
them. Apart from this, there are some endangered species that can be safe in zoos because they are
protected from other predators and hunters.

A very convincing point against zoos is that wild animals require big places, consequently it is not
ethical to force them into cages. In zoos they do not have their natural environment for instance the
temperature is too hot and they do not have to hunt their meal, which can lead to different kinds of
sicknesses.

From my point of view, it is acceptable to keep animals in zoos but workers should always provide
them enough space, similar to natural environment and quality care.
