This is the first and largest snow and
ice hotel in the world, which had its
first edition in 1990, now completing
32 years of existence.
Curiosities
EACH RECONSTRUCTION IS DESIGNED BY A DIFFERENT ARTIST
AND AROUND 100 PEOPLE WORK TO TRANSFORM THE RAW
MATERIAL INTO WALLS, BEDROOMS, CARVED ROOMS AND EVEN
A CHAPEL. IN THE ROOMS, THE BEDS ARE COVERED WITH FUR
AND THE HOTEL PROVIDES SPECIAL SLEEPING BAGS FOR
GUESTS. IN ADDITION TO HOUSING VISITORS, THE HOTEL
DISPLAYS A COLLECTION OF ART AND ICE SCULPTURES
CREATED BY SELECTED ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD.
