My Holiday in Rome
Posted by Matthew Taylor on 18 July, 2020 at 21:00
1.) I arrived home from holiday last night. It was a long flight on the plane, about 4 hours.
While we were returning home, one of the tourists became very sick, so it was really
stressful! When that awful flight landed, I was feeling completely over the moon! But
where did I go away on holiday I hear you ask? Well, I went to Italy to visit the city of
Rome. Rome is an ancient city with so much history and loads of activities to do. The first
activities we did were visiting the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. They were both
extremely crowded, as they are tourist attractions, but it was so exciting and I took loads of
photos. The streets of Rome were so busy, however, that my family and I got lost many
times. After we visited the Roman Forum, we then toured the city in an old Fiat 500 car.
Whilst my father was driving though, he crashed into a wall. Unfortunately, the car’s
engine needed to be rebuilt! We also went to one of the oldest food markets in the city. The
market is held in Campo dei Fiori Plaza and runs from Monday to Saturday every week.
There were so many unique souvenirs to buy and pasta dishes to try. I ate spaghetti with a
spicy tomato sauce, known as arrabbiata. Sadly, the market was the last activity we had
time to do before flying home. Overall, I had an amazing holiday in Rome and I would
definitely recommend it to everyone.

2.) my holidays

June 15, 2019 was a great day, I would go on vacation with my husband. Our destination,
Santamarta, was a 5-hour trip in our car. We arrived very tired but happy, we made several
stops in the different landscapes to take pictures. The next day we decided to start by going
up the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. I was dying of happiness and that is how we first
arrived in Minca since it is the initial stop on the tour. motorbike we began to climb the
mountains, second destination the cascades of marinca, by God how beautiful the water
was super cold it seemed that we were going to freeze but after a few minutes the body
acclimatizes, we lasted about 1 hour in this place and we continued our walk Third stop, a
magical place called Sierra Minca and this is where it started to get better. Getting off the
motorcycle, I stepped badly and my foot bent and my ankle started to swell. the day and I
had to return but an Indian from the region approached me and offered me some chocolates
with marijuana saying that would relieve me, omg! I took on the challenge and tried it and
what a surprise in less than 5 minutes it was better than what I got, hahaha what a laugh it
makes me when I remember the experience in this last place it left me speechless, it had
heated pools, the rooms came with a view of the mountains and no sales, that's right
without windows because everything wants you to connect with nature and the food was an
explosion of flavors. after two days unfortunately we had to go back home but I know we
will do it again
