1. Liability Waiver

I, the undersigned, understand that participation in activities associated with the Fab
City Foundation, Fab Foundation, IBERO Puebla, FabLab Ciudad Retoño, IDEA
GTO, UNAM FabLab, Faro Quintana Roo, INNOVaction Gym, IXIM A.C., FabLab
Anáhuac, and LABNL (collectively, "The Organisers''), sponsored events may entail
inherent risks, including, but not limited to, traffic mishaps, machinery-induced
damage, and the potential for various other forms of bodily harm and disability.

Additionally, I assert that I am fully accountable for my physical condition, any

preparatory conditioning activities, and any potential medical expenses that may
arise as a result of my participation in the event. I understand that I bear full
responsibility for any costs incurred due to illness or injury during the event.

In recognition of “The Organisers” granting me the privilege to participate in the event

and all associated activities, I hereby voluntarily assume all risks associated with
such participation. I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless “The Organisers”,
their agents, collaborators, employees, and any attending practitioners from any and
all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action of any kind or nature that may arise
out of or in connection with my participation in any activities related to this event.

I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree that “The Organisers” bear no

responsibility for any loss, theft, health-related issues, or criminal acts committed by
or against me during the duration of the event or my entire stay.

 2. Intellectual property

I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge and agree that I am solely responsible

for identifying and communicating any pre-existing patents, copyrights, or trademarks
associated with my projects.

"The Organisers" bear no liability for any infringement of patents, copyrights, or

trademarks related to the participant's project that may occur on “The Organisers”
communication channels and platforms, should the participant fail to communicate
these restrictions in a timely and appropriate manner.

Furthermore, “The Organisers” are not liable for any infringement of patents,
copyrights, or trademarks on the participant's project incurred by third parties during
or after the event. Additionally, “The Organisers” are not responsible for any claims of
plagiarism associated with the participant's project. We encourage you to publicly
acknowledge and reference all IP and contributions by other sources to the project.
The participant agrees to engage in collaborative development for all projects, with
the understanding that such projects must not infringe on the rights of any third party.

Although “The Organisers” recommend participants to adopt open-source, Creative

Commons, or other shareable licensing for their projects, such use is not obligatory. It
remains the participant's responsibility shared with the hosting fab labs and its
partners to choose an appropriate licensing model for their project.

3. Use of Data

I, the undersigned participant, hereby consent to the sharing of my name and

associated project or organisation name on the event's website and other
communication purposes.“The Organisers” will only transfer participant data when
necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this agreement or to comply with legal
obligations.

By participating, I grant “The Organisers” the right to use, without any form of
compensation, the texts and visual materials related to my project for communication,
documentation, and research purposes in connection with the Fab City Challenge
Mexico, Fab24 Mexico event, by Fab City Foundation, or any of “The Organisers”.
This may include, but is not limited to, press materials, brochures, websites, and
third-party marketing materials.

 4. Release of Liability

The conditions outlined in this document serve as a comprehensive release and

assumption of risk on behalf of myself, my heirs, estate, executor, administrator,
assignees, and all family members. This document also confirms my explicit
acknowledgement of the terms related to intellectual property and data use during
the event

I affirm that I am of lawful age (18 years or older) and am legally competent to sign
this agreement. In the event that I am under the age of 18, I confirm that I am
providing a parent’s consent form, duly signed, and will be accompanied by a legal
guardian at all times during the event. I confirm that I have read this “Participation,
Liability, Intellectual Property and Data Use Agreement” document meticulously and
understand it in its entirety. I agree to adhere to its terms in all respects, recognizing
the legally binding nature of this agreement.
