DIVISION MONITORING ACTIVITY FOR THE OPENING OF CLASSES


SCHOOL YEAR 2023-2024

1. In line with DepEd Order No.022, s.2023 or the Implementing Guidelines on the
School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2023-2024, the School
Governance and Operations Division in collaboration with Curriculum
Implementation Division shall provide timely, relevant, and demand- responsive
technical support by Monitoring of Opening of Classes on the first week of School
Year 2023-2024.

2. The activity aims to ensure the compliance of schools with the policies and
guidelines and determine issues and concerns encountered by the school.

3. CID and SGOD personnel shall monitor the compliance of schools with the
policies and guidelines set by the department along with the health and safety
protocols. The SDO Team will commence the monitoring activity from
August 31, 2023 (Thursday) until September 1, 2023 (Friday). Classes
shall not be disrupted as per Deped Order No. 9, s. 2005 or Instituting
Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance
Therewith.

4. School Heads with their select school personnel will be responsible on monitoring
the first day of their actual school operation and opening of classes.

5. Travel and other incidental expenses shall be charged against the Division
Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE), subject to usual
accounting rules and regulations.

6. Attached in this Memorandum is the composition of the Division Monitoring


Team, terms of reference and monitoring tool. Therefore, this Memorandum
rescinds the composition of the monitoring team stipulated in Division
Memorandum No. 432, S. 2023 titled Reconstitution of Oplan Balik Eskwela –
Public Assistance Action Center (OBE-PAAC) Task Force 2023 and Conduct of
2023 Oplan Balik Eskwela Monitoring.

7. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is earnestly desired.
