ON

FURNITURE AND CABINET MAKING

TOTAL DURATION: 360 HOURS

OBJECTIVES

• To be able understand the futures and purposes of furniture and cabinet making.
• To be able to identify the quality materials used in furniture and cabinet making
• To be able to select proper tools and equipment required in furniture and cabinet making
• To be able to interpret the technical drawings.
• To be able to prepare materials for furniture and cabinet making.
• To be able to perform all types of furniture and cabinet making
• To be able to use the relevant technologies
• To be able to lead a small team of workers.
• To be able to develop mentality to 'make good conduct and relationship
• To be able to solve problems related to work activities.
• To be able to know the safety rules and first aids

And Theory= 70 hrs Theory = 1 hr, per lesson Minimum
Cabinet Practical= 230 hrs. Practice = 2 hrs. per practice Eight Pass.

Communicative English= 60 hrs day

A. Basic competencies:
• Perform to cutting tiles on any shape.
• Perform to layout of room position as per drawing
• Perform to layout of door and window position as per drawing
• Perform to dewatering with pumps or other means
B. Common Competencies:
• Perform to soling bricks, flat, raking bond (diagonal & herring bone bond),
end edging, zigzag
• Perform to prepare cement mortar with required ratio
• Perform to make base for setting tiles
• Perform to prepare scaffolding work in "any situation
C. Core Competencies:
• Perform to make tonen and mortise joint.
• Perform to make butt and halve joint.
• Perform to make dove-tail joint
• Perform to make operate wood turning lathe
