2. An organization decides they will make T-shirts and posters to raise the money. It takes 6 minutes
to make a T-shirt and 3 minutes to make a poster. Each T-shirt requires 2 people and each poster
requires 3 people. There are at least 2 hours and a minimum of 60 people. By request, they need a
maximum of 25 T-shirts and not more than 20 posters.
(a) Let x represent the number of T-shirts and y the number of posters. Write down all the
inequalities which represent the conditions above.
(b) Using a scale of 2cm to represent 5 units on both axes for 0 ≤ x ≤ 40 and 0 ≤ y ≤ 40. Draw a
graph which shows a region representing the possible values of x and y.
(c) Each T-shirts makes a profit of K3.00 and each poster makes a profit of K1.50. How many
T-shirts and posters should they make to minimize the profit?
(d) Calculate this maximum profit.
