This is my opinion after watching Ms.

Ipek's lecture videos:

Which approach(es) does the teacher use? Explain how the teacher uses specific
approaches.

She uses the comprehension approach to introduce the Present Simple to students. This is
quite a good and effective method. In addition, I also see her use “the silent period," “the
effective filter,” and “using only the target language in the classroom.”.

For example, the silent period will allow students to form connections in their minds about
grammar rules and vocabulary of the target language. Besides, the target language method
will help the students to be more open to communicating with each other and provide them
with more opportunities.

Which technique(s) from this teacher’s lesson would you be interested in incorporating
into your classroom lessons? Explain.

The technique that I would like to incorporate in my classroom lessons is inductive reasoning
with these steps: “Model, Infer, Elaborate." This technique will allow students to struggle
with language, come up with rules on their own, and give them a sense of solving problems
together.
