The bar graph illustrates the gross domestic product from IT and service industry of

the UK from 1992 to 2000. Overall, it can be clearly seen that there was an increased trend
in both industry. Meanwhile, the gap between the percentages of IT and service industry
had slightly fluctuate.

As is presented in the graph, in 1992, IT industry had a small proportion in GDP over
6 % and approximately double level in 1998 about 12%. Two year later, an upward trend
was seen in IT industry from 12% in 1998 to reach 16% in GDP in 2000. IT was still higher
in general, though it fell slightly from 1994 to 1996.

On the other hand, service industry had a lower proportion than IT industry in 1992
about 4%. Even though there was a sharply increase from two first year, from 4% to over
6%, but the increase trend was slow down in six following years and got over 8 % in 2000.

In conclusion, the percentage of the gross domestic product from IT was almost twice
that of the service industry.
