PRACTICAL SOLUTION

 PSID MEANING
Many people don’t know the meaning of
PSID. Which means ‘POWER SOURCE
IDENTIFIER’.
Dell laptops, AIO and desktops without power
source id, won’t continue in AIO or won’t
charge the battery in laptops.
PSID measures in POWER and unit in WATT.
WATT=VOLTAGE X CURRENT
19.5V X 12.3A = 240W
19.5V X 9.23A = 180W
IN ALIENWARE LAPTOPS WE CAN USE ONLY 180W AND
ONWARDS ADAPTERS
PROBLEM WAS IN ALENWARE 15 R2
PSID SHAPES IN DSO
AS USUAL, WE REMOVED THE CIRCLED COMPONENTS
AND JUMPERED THEM ONE BY ONE . WE GOT 3.3V
FROM SOURCE TO DESTINATION.. BUT PROBLEM WAS
NOT SOLVED
Also, we removed 1st, 2nd and discharging
mosfets
and replaced charging IC BQ24780S and
high low mosfets
because battery output was 0v.
After 3 days of experiments, we finally
came to a conclusion and problem was
solved.
 SOLUTION

DON’T PUT JUMPERS. INSTEAD OF THAT, IN

GAMING LAPTOPS, WE SHOULD REPLACE THE
COMPONENTS WITH EXACT VALUES.
HERE, WE have REPLACED ALL RESISTERS
WITH SAME TOLERANCE VALUES.
