Case Study: Simplify the Complex

Signature Process through Aadhaar

eSign

Aadhaar-based eSign is not

limited to a particular industry;

any government or private sector

can use this paperless facility to

perform digital signatures from

anywhere and anytime. This

signature process uses Aadhaar

verification to authenticate the

user's identity.

The Client's Background

With years of experience and a prestigious identity, our LKP Securities client
is one of the reputed market players in the financial industry. They are one of
the top brokerage firms that offer a wide range of financial services, such as
trading in stocks, commodities, and currencies. Due to the huge demand for
stock market services in the country, the company is keen on simplifying its
document signing process to boost efficiency and compliance.

Challenges
The manual paper-based document signing
process is time-consuming, associated
with various human errors, and requires
physical presence. New user onboarding
was tedious due to long verification cycles
and different security threats. The LKP
Securities decided to shift from a manual to
a digitalised document signing process
without compromising its clients' security,
legality, and convenience.
Solution
To overcome the wet-ink signature process, the LKP Securities brokerage
company implemented an eSign API into its existing business infrastructure
to document signing workflow, enabling customers' digital signatures from
remote locations with an extra layer of security and strictly adhering to
industry compliances.

Aadhaar eSign API Integration: LKP Securities brokerage firm partnered

with Meon Technologies to integrate the Aadhaar eSign API into its
document management system. This enables customers to digitally sign
documents from remote locations using Aadhaar number authentication.

Customers can use eSign on the brokerage platform to open a Demat

account and access KYC documents, agreements, and disclosures prepared
online by the brokerage firm's backend system.

Aadhaar Authentication: In this process, the user gets a link via mobile
SMS or Email with a document that needs to be signed. When the user
clicks the link, they are redirected to a secure portal. They need to enter
their Aadhaar number, and the authentication process will be done using
the Aadhaar OTP sent on the registered mobile.

Signing the Document: Once the authentication process is done, the

signer reviews the document online and attaches his digital signature to
the digital form using Aadhaar eSign.
