1 Confirm GPS location and match site coordinates;

2 Confirm with site owner the site area match the site acquisition contract area;

Find four corners of site and mark them with rebar sprayed red. Find a point to be a

1 PPE is required absolutely whiles at site to work;

2 Confirm with site owner before start any work;

3 Find out the site Northing Direction;

4 True Northing should be perpendicular to 29m.

1 Remove the obstacles, clean grass and cut off trees if necessary;

2 Clear out all crop and tree roots, remove all organic soil on the surface of ground;

3 Level the ground to get a horizontal working area;

4 Consider the working area while clearing the compound

2 Locate true North with compass;

3 Mark a site compound with caution tape;

Critical Techniques

Confirm 3 guyed position at 0°, 120° and 240° refer to true North (0°).

1 Tower foundation: as project tower design;

2 Guyed foundation of 3 guyed: as project tower design;

3 Clean the underground water if necessary;

4 Rain cover plastic sheet should be prepared in advance in case of raining.

Critical Techniques

1 Inform HW SE immediately if soil bearing capacity is different from the soil test report;

2 Machine for excavation is required absolutely if have rocky or hard soil;

3 Prepare rain cover plastic sheet.

4 Center Excavation should be 1000mm and Anchor Excavation 2350mm Depth.

Civil Work：Central Steel Frame Installation,

Steps

1 Concrete foundation under tower base firstly (Optional, based on project design);

2 Foundation must be installed horizontally.

Critical Techniques

1 Locate the foundation precisely; distance from the center to the anchor check on DD.

2 Check and confirm the foundation base is leveled with water label;

3 The center steel base distance from the 3 anchor base should follow the design standard.

1 Installation of guyed base according to the tower design;

2 Installation of guyed wires according to the tower design.

Critical Techniques

The guyed steel base distance from the center base should follow the design standard;

2 From each anchor bolt 3 guyed wire will projected to the Tower (30m and 35m Tower) .

3 Only Towers with 18m/24m/30m/35m have guyed.

4 Anchor Excavation depth should be 2350mm.

Civil Work：Backfilling

Steps

1 Clean and drain the pits, lay soil, leveling and compacting with machine.

2 Compact soil every 20cm when backfilling using compactor machine.

3 Add some water to keep moisture and ensure compacting efficiency

4 Repeat the above steps to reach the final level.

Critical Techniques

1 Ensure backfilling soil bearing capacity must be more than 16KN/m3;

2 Remark 20cm to the tower base using color, then as proof to the backfilling QC task;

If the team not use frog compactor pls check the compaction instruction for the specified

Compactor used.

Tower Erection

Steps

Install the 1st section on the base, check the geometrical dimension of the 1st section,

tighten the bolts and nuts;
Install the 2nd section and fixed it with bolts, then follow the same procedure to lift the other

section until all the section is installed.

5 Remark;- Sample pictures taken from other project with non 35m tower.

Critical Techniques

1 When installing the 2nd section, make sure the PV panels direction north to south.

2 Be careful not to damage the tower galvanization during the installation;

3 Tower verticality must be checked finally.

Guyed Wires Fixation

Steps

After installed the 1st 4 sections of tower, install and fix the bottom guyed wires and after
1 installing the 1st 8 sections install the middle guyed wires and after complete all section
install the last guyed wires.
Team should tighten the guyed wire straight and verify all the nuts are tightened after

finishing tower erection.

Critical Techniques

1 Guyed wired have to keep tight and straight.

2 Guyed wire tension meter to do the if have available tool.

Route the U-bolt through the hole of the support and tighten the nut.

Place an antenna against the pole
Route the U-shaped clamp through the U-bolt and tighten the nut.

Secure the fixing clip for the antenna support against the pole.
Use two U-bolts around the pole and route them through the holes on the support, and

tighten the nuts.

4 Repeat the preceding steps to install the second antenna support.

1 Use rain protection plastic sheet cover for the rainy season.

2 If water enters the pit, use a pump or manual way to remove the water from the pit.

Rain Backfilling Time

1 Allow the soil to dry before backfilling to achieve the required density.
