work, and
dedication in serving our countrymen during this time of crisis.

We, in BPI Family Savings Bank, would like to show our gratitude by offering INTEREST-FREE arrangements for
your existing Auto or Housing Loan for 90 days. We are also giving a 90-day grace period on your loan payment,
should you be unable to pay your amortizations during this time.

Assistance Program for Auto and Housing Loan Clients who are ON-FRONTLINE-DUTY
Terms and Conditions:

1. The program is open to current Auto and Housing Loan clients who are members of the workforce directly
confronting the COVID-19 situation, specifically:
Hospital workers
Military personnel
Police officers

2. Qualified clients may avail of these program features:


a. INTEREST-FREE arrangement for 90 days. Ninety (90) days’ worth of interest fees on client’s
existing Auto or Housing Loan shall be waived. Only the monthly principal amount will be auto-debited
from the nominated account.

b. 90-DAY grace period. If the client is unable to meet the payment due date (i.e. unsuccessful auto-
debit) within the 90-day grace period, no penalty fee shall be charged. Interest fees shall also be waived
for the duration of the grace period which is 90 calendar days, starting from the original payment due
date.

Any unpaid amortization (whether in full or principal portion only) will be the outstanding amount due
following the grace period.

3. The loan must be in good credit standing as of March 13, 2020.

4. To avail, qualified client must inform our Loans Customer Care Department through any of the prescribed
channels, and opt-in to the Loan Assistance Program:

• CALL : Call us at 889-10000, option 440

5. The opt-in period is until April 30, 2020.

6. For validation purposes, qualified clients will be asked to submit a copy of his or her PRC ID and Hospital / AFP
/ PNP ID.
FAQs (For Internal Use)

1. What is the offer?


We are giving an assistance program for our current Auto and Housing loan clients who are members
of the workforce directly confronting the COVID-19 situation, specifically:
- Hospital workers
- Military personnel
- Police officers

The Assistance Program shall provide:

1. INTEREST-FREE arrangement for 90 days


We are waiving 90 days’ worth of interest fees on your Auto or Housing Loan. As such, on your
next 3 payment due dates, the amount that will be auto-debited shall only be equal to the loan
principal for the period.

2. 90-DAY grace period


The regular auto-debit schedule of your Auto / Housing Loan account will remain in effect on
your payment due date. If you are unable to meet the payment due date (i.e. unsuccessful auto-
debit), the penalty charges shall be waived within the 90-day grace period (refers to 90 calendar
days, starting from the original payment due date).

To avail, you need to contact any of our prescribed channels and opt-in to the Loan
Assistance Program, on or before April 30, 2020.

2. Who are qualified?


Auto Loan and Housing Loan clients who are currently serving on the front lines of the country’s
COVID-19 response team and are classified as any of the following:
- Medical personnel serving in public or private hospitals (e.g. doctors, nurses, medical or
laboratory technicians / support services / aides / other allied medical professionals)
- Military personnel (e.g. Army, Navy, Air Force)
- Philippine National Police / Public Safety Officers (Commissioned e.g. Police-Lieutenant to
Police-General; and Non-Commissioned e.g. Patrolman to Police Executive Master Sergeant)

The loan accounts of these clients should also be in good credit standing as of March 13, 2020, i.e. Not
more than 30 days past due as of March 13.

3. How will I know if I am part of the program? Will I get a notification?


To qualify, you must meet the criteria mentioned above.
Kindly inform our Loans Customer Care Department that you will opt-in to our assistance program. You
may contact any of the following channels:

For validation purposes, you will be asked to submit the following:

Medical personnel working in


Military personnel Police officers
public or private hospitals
PRC ID and Hospital ID AFP ID PNP ID

NOTE: If the Branch Manager / Relationship Manager / Sales Associate / Loan Account Officer
is able to identify clients in their portfolio who are eligible to the program, they may proactively
call and reach out to their clients to share the program offer. Kindly advise your clients to opt-in
using any of the prescribed channels.

4. If I am part of the program, what will happen to my Auto/Housing Loan during and after the
grace period?
Please be reminded that you will need to opt-in using the prescribed channels to avail of the assistance
program. Otherwise, the regular auto-debit schedule of your Auto / Housing Loan account will remain in
effect on your payment due date.

Upon opt-in, please take note of the following changes on your loan payments:
90-day INTEREST-FREE amortization:
Your monthly amount due will change after opting-in. In your next 3 due dates, only the amount of loan
principal for that period will be auto-debited. After the 3 due dates, your regular monthly payment due
(loan principal + loan interest) will resume.

90-day grace period:


If you are unable to meet the required payment during the opt-in period (i.e. unsuccessful auto-debit),
we will waive the late payment penalty charges. The unpaid amount will be carried over to the next
payment due date.

If you wish to defer your payments for the entire 90-day grace period, you need not fund your deposit
settlement account. After the grace period, once your succeeding due date arrives, the outstanding
amount due shall be comprised of:
1. Your regular monthly loan amortization (EX: Php 37,196)
2. The total loan principal amount for the past 90 days (EX: Php 48,518)

5. My loan payment was already debited last March 5. Can I request for payment reversal since I
am qualified under the program?
For ease of transacting, we can apply the 90-day grace period and/or 90-day interest-free amortization
on your succeeding payment due dates. Kindly contact us to opt-in.

6. How much is the interest amount that will be waived? How will I know the total amount to be
debited from my account after I opt-in?
You may check the original loan documents sent to you when you availed your Auto / Housing Loan,
then refer to your Amortization Schedule.

Specific to Housing Loan: If the interest rate of your Housing Loan is already re-priced, please contact
our Loans Customer Care Department for an updated copy of your Amortization Schedule.

7. Once I contact the opt-in channels, how soon will I enjoy the assistance program?
After opting-in, please wait until the next banking day for our Loans Customer Care representative to
reach you. You will be asked to submit your valid PRC ID and/or Hospital / PNP / AFP ID. You will also
be asked to fill out an opt-in form.

8. I am a dentist / ophthalmologist / dermatologist / veterinarian and I kept my clinic open during


the enhanced community quarantine period. Can I avail of the assistance program?
We are offering this program for members of the workforce directly facing the COVID-19 situation,
specifically those that were identified by the government as essential and critical functions that must
continue to operate, amidst a total lockdown. If you had been called by a hospital or healthcare center
to augment their COVID-19 response, kindly provide proper documentation for our evaluation.

9. I am currently serving in the medical / military / police force, with no existing loan with BPI.
Can I avail of a BPI Family Auto or Housing Loan today and enjoy the same benefits?
For now, the program is offered to existing Auto or Housing Loan clients of BPI.
