Statement of Purpose

I am Sanjana, an enthusiastic individual from India, bearing Passport No. V3553900,

writing to convey my profound interest in pursuing a Bachelor in Interior design at your
esteemed institution. To me, interior and product design transcends mere aesthetics; it is
the art of curating spaces that elevate our experiences, enrich our lives, and foster a sense
of harmony and functionality. As technology advances, interior designers are at the
forefront, creating spaces that integrate smart technologies for convenience and energy
efficiency. Looking ahead, the future of interior design excites me. Designs focusing on
wellness, with natural light and green spaces, promote health and happiness. Virtual reality
and 3D modelling are changing how designers visualize ideas, allowing clients to
experience their future spaces before construction.

Educational and Professional Journey:

My journey into the realm of design commenced with a quest for practical knowledge and
hands-on experience. Following my completion of the 10th grade with a commendable
CGPA of 5.6 from CBSE, I embarked on a diploma program in Draughtsman (Civil) at Govt.
ITI Women Kurukshetra, where I excelled with an impressive score of 87%. Eager to apply
my skills in a professional setting, I ventured into the industry, first as a Junior Executive
Architect Drafter at DESIGNOB GRAPH, where I immersed myself in the intricacies of
design execution and project management. Subsequently, I further honed my craft as a
Draftsman (Civil) at the Municipal Council of Thanesar, Kurukshetra by completing my
apprentenship. Presently, I continue to expand my expertise in Civil Drafting at DESIGNOB
GRAPH, supplemented by a valuable AUTOCAD certification.

Interior design, to me, represents more than just a profession; it is a calling driven by
creativity, innovation, and a profound understanding of how spaces influence human
experiences. Throughout my academic journey and professional endeavors, I have
cultivated a keen eye for detail, a strong aesthetic sense, and a dedication to delivering
exceptional results. Having completed my diploma in Draughtsman (Civil) and gained
valuable experience as a Civil Drafter, I am equipped with a solid foundation in technical
drafting and design principles. However, I am eager to expand my horizons and delve
deeper into the intricacies of interior design, particularly in areas such as space planning,
material selection, and client communication.

1vision ARCHITECTS, Carafina, DesignQube, and EEternal. I envision myself embracing
diverse projects, leveraging innovative technologies, and staying abreast of emerging
trends to create impactful and enduring designs. Through continuous learning, networking,
and professional development, I aspire to elevate the standard of interior design in India
and beyond, enriching lives and inspiring positive change. I plan to stay updated with
industry trends through workshops and certifications, aiming for a salary growth from 12
to 20 lakh per year. This career path allows me to blend my passion for design with real-
world impact, enriching the lives of others through creative spaces.

projected to grow at a CAGR of 18.7% between 2024-2029, reaching US$ 2.37 billion by
2029. Additionally, the home decor market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 30% to reach
US$ 19 billion by 2029. A survey by Houzz reveals that 52% of Indian homeowners
renovate their homes to enhance functionality, while 47% do so to update their home's
style. Besides its creative aspect, interior design is a thriving industry with a substantial
demand for skilled designers in India. It's currently a billion-dollar industry, projected to
reach $210 billion by 2027. This promising growth indicates a bright future in the field,
making it an ideal fit for me.
