III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

3.1 Background of the Project:
The initiative to educate effective first aid was started in response to
the general public's misconceptions about fundamental first aid techniques.
It is crucial to understand the fundamentals of first aid because in an
emergency, it might mean the difference between life and death. The
project's goal is to offer thorough and trustworthy information on first aid,
including how to recognize and treat common injuries, when to seek expert
medical help, and how to avoid accidents altogether.
Participants will be taught how to respond appropriately and calmly
in a variety of emergency circumstances through engaging lectures,
practical exercises, and demonstrations. The project will also underline how
crucial it is to integrate first aid awareness training into every aspect of our
lives, both personally and professionally, in order to promote safety and
wellbeing. In the end, the project will give people the information and
abilities needed to confidently and successfully handle emergency
situations, lessen the severity of injuries, and save lives.
3.2 Justification of the Project
Learning first aid skills and information is essential in a world full of
unforeseen catastrophes and uncertainty. Rapid and effective emergency
response can significantly impact the possibility of saving lives and reducing
the severity of injuries.
The intrinsic value of human life and the desire to relieve suffering
during emergencies serve as the foundation for the justification for learning first
aid procedures. People gain power and the ability to make a difference in life-
or-death circumstances by learning first aid knowledge and skills. First aid
education should be a part of everyday life since it can help save lives, alleviate
suffering, increase safety, and build community resilience. As responsible
citizens, taking first aid classes is a tiny but important step toward a world that
is safer and more nurturing.

3.3 Benefits Derived from the Project

Basic first aid knowledge can indeed prevent the aggravation of the effect
of the injury or illness. It is useful for any unexpected occurrences such as
accidents and disasters. Hence, the implementation of this project will create a
significant help in saving more people’s lives. Having knowledge about first aid
can guide people on what actions to do in times of emergency until medical
professionals arrive. The accomplishment of this project rectifies the mistakes
that people usually do in applying first aid. For example, panic is inevitable
during life-threatening situations. Thus, anyone who is involved in an incident
act immediately and does everything they can to lessen the pain of those who
are severely affected. Now, the significance of having an education with regards
to fundamental first aid techniques will train anyone in knowing how to assess
the situation first before taking the right action.
To summarize it all, the benefits derived from the project are the prevention
of worse possible outcome which is death and the minimization of the impact
of a tragedy. It is true that one can be involved or be in any harmful events with
or without companion. The best weapon that we can have is basic first aid
knowledge that can help us protect ourselves and others. Consequently, it is
expected that through this project, citizens of a community will no longer
respond to unexpected circumstances with lack or no knowledge of first aid at
all. Instead, they will be driven to help
