2. Read the article about discrimination and stereotyping in

3. Based on a globalized perspective, read about immigrant’s identity and the


concept of Hybrid identities in:

• Article 2 (chapter 1 and 2

Individual task:
4. Write an essay for or against the possibility of having a global identity. Use
examples and facts to support your statements.

Group activity:
5. Write your own personal "code of ethics." What are the rules a "good person"
should live by?
5.1. With your group, hold a meeting in which every member will share their
“personal code” and together, discus about the cultural elements present in
each ones “code”.

Record your meeting in a Google hangout. Make sure you apply what you studied in
the “essentials” and “consolidation” sections in guideline 2. Do not create any script
to be read during the meeting It must be spontaneous, in order to demonstrate that
you can develop ideas in a natural way.
Notes:
• All members of the group must take part in the activity.
• All the participants must use the camera when recording the activity (your face
must be visualized). Audio option recordings will not be graded.

• Be careful with the format. It is a meeting. It is not an oral presentation.


Although it is a group activity, every student has to paste the link on the Word
file.

Self-assessment: Write a paragraph describing the strengths and weaknesses you


identified when completing the individual and group activities during this guideline. Let
your tutor know if you need a piece of advice to improve your skills.

Project
To continue with the second part of the project, you must describe your culture based
on the different elements of culture covered in the guidelines above. Period design
your code of ethics, with some possible stereotypes. Do not forget to explain clearly
the foundation for all aspects.
