Subject: Duststorm/thunderstorm and isolated rain predicted in province,

The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject cited above and to say that PMD &
NDMA Islamabad has informed that a shallow westerly wave is likely to affect upper parts of
the country on 28th May 2024.
Under the influence of this weather system:
• Duststorm/thunderstorm with isolated Rain is expected in Quetta, Pishin, Sherani, Barkan,
Zhob, Ziarat and adjoining areas from 27th (night) to 29th May 2024.
Impacts and Advises
• The farmers are advised to manage the crops and orchards accordingly.
• Duststorm/windstorm and lightning may affect daily routines, standing crops, loos structures like
electric poles, vehicles and solar panels etc during the period.
• Heatwave like conditions likely to subside in central and upper parts of the country.
• Tourists and travelers are advised to remain extra cautious to avoid any untoward situation during the
weather forecast period.
• General public is advised to stay at safe places during duststom/windstorms / lightning.

Note: All concerned authorities are advised to remain “ALERT” and take necessary precautionary
measure during the forecast period.
