In this day and age, advertising has become a vital part of successful marketing, however, are

these ads created to be informative for an individual or are they just invasive pests that only seek to
exploit? I believe that while some advertisements are inoffensive and only seek to promote events or
campaigns, the ones that promote products are most likely trying to take advantage of vulnerable
people.

Firstly, there is the belief that multi-national companies care too much about their image and
therefore would not use immoral methods of marketing such as false advertising. Though that is
simply not true as companies like Shein or Zaful are consistently pushing advertisements specifically
created to attract the attention of children or older people.

Another point to take into account is the fact that there are two different categories in the
creation of an advertisement, how to display the information and how to persuade the potential
customer. Usually, people with a little bit of common sense can understand when the ads are fake or
are trying to present a fantasy. Even though individuals should have a basic understanding of
advertisements to help them tell the difference between informational and greedy ones, ethical
businesses should not continue attacking vulnerable people with ads.

In conclusion, I believe that advertisements are often predatory and are trying to exploit
every ounce of money one might possess by promoting a cheap, useless product. I think that these
aforementioned ads should be completely banned on all platforms in order to protect people from
getting scammed and spending their money recklessly.
