Abstract: A new continuous electrodeionization (CEDI) module design employs advances such as O-ring seals, layered resin
beds, and resin-filled reject compartments to prevent external leaking, reduce electrical resistance and simplify system
design. This report describes a system operating at a power plant for about two years in place of a counter-current
demineralizer.
