Identifying Cover Page Elements
As we have already discussed, when we prepare a lesson/unit there are many elements
we should consider. Most of these elements/aspects should be noticeable in our presentation
texts.
The following is a presentation text that has been presented in 2 different lessons.
PAGE 1
Phineas and Ferb are brothers. They have a great imagination. Phineas is really creative and intelligent.
-Ferb: A machine?
-Ph: Yes! A cloning machine! The clones will help us to do our homework!
PHINEAS PRESSES A BUTTON. “CLONING PHINEAS” CAN BE SEEN ON THE SCREEN OF THE MACHINE.

CANDANCE PRESSES DIFFERENT BUTTONS. THE MACHINE STARTS SHAKING AND A PHINEAS’ CLONE COMES OUT. BUT HE IS
NOT EXACTLY LIKE PHINEAS.

-CANDANCE: Let’s go home. Mum and dad will start looking for us!
The children leave the place. They leave the machine on the street.

Perry –who has observed the whole situation- grabs the machine.
Read the text and identify the specific elements/aspects that the teacher considered for
his unit of work when creating the story.
