AB-PHILOSOPHY 1-3
Task 1:
a. Physical
b. Psychological and Emotional
c. Behavioral
The drug impact within the Physical self are immediate and can manifest
during or shortly after drug usage, including intoxication, altered senses, and
impaired body and mental coordination. As frequent as the person use drugs
the more the body adapts to the presence of the drug, requiring the drug addict
to intoxicate themselves with higher doses to attain euphoric state. When a drug
addict stops or lessen the usage of drug, the body of a drug addict experiences
negative physical symptoms like vomiting, anxiety, and insomnia. The said
symptoms can be severe and be at the extent where one couldn’t contain
themselves with the withdrawal effects. With all of these effects also serve a long-
term health problems such as liver damage, respiratory problems, and
neurological issues.
Moreover, the drug impact on one’s behavioral self are as can be severe
as the physical effects of the drugs. As soon as the user intoxicated themselves
with drug, the individual may always feel the urge to intoxicate themselves with
drugs which demonstrate a compulsive drug seeking and use behavior. Along
with these effects, one may also experience a sudden change in mood and
personality, where one may neglect their personal hygiene and demonstrate
mental changes such as aggression, anxiety, and irritability. With all of these
attributes, it is in no doubt that one may neglect their responsibilities – work
performance, academic, and family obligations.
2. Discuss and criticize the previous and current programs/projects of our
government in relation to their campaign against illegal drugs. Are you
satisfied? Expound your answer.
This platform violates the core principle of due process, that is both law
of the Philippines and international spectrum, that guarantees individual to
attain a fair trial before facing punishment. This killings neglected this part
of the basic human rights, depriving individuals to exercise their
fundamental right to defend themselves from potentially facing wrongful
accusations. The systematic targeting of individuals without proper
investigation or evidences, disrespects the rule of law, which fosters a
community of fear and impunity. The overall platform is ineffective in terms
of addressing the whole drug problem of the country, which based on studies
and data that the platform have not significantly reduced drug use or crime
rates, which tells all about how law enforcement target low-level of users and
dealers, while major drug networks remain untouched.
3. Make a Poster in a short bond paper regarding effects of Illegal Drugs and
explain your work briefly in a separate page. (Be creative to your work)
