Elon Musk: Elon Musk attended the University of Pretoria for some time before going
to Canada when he was 17 to study at Queen's University. He transferred to the University of
Pennsylvania two years later, where he completed his bachelor's degrees in economics and
physics. Later on, he founded SpaceX and Tesla Inc. We all know that today Elon Musk is one
of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.

Jeff Bezos: In 1986, Bezos graduated from Princeton University. He has a bachelor's
degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in computer science. He served on Wall
Street in a variety of capacities from 1986 to early 1994. In late 1994, while driving from New
York City to Seattle, Bezos founded Amazon. In addition, we all know who Jezz Bezos is
without a question. His educational background helped him to be a successful entrepreneur.

Failure

Ollie Purdue: Ollie Purdue graduated from University of the West of England and in
2014,
founded “Loot”. Loot created an e-bank where customers can get a prepaid MasterCard and a
money management app. Global Founders Capital, Speed invest, and RBS' own banking
software Bó, among others, helped Loot raise £13.6 million in venture financing over eight
rounds. However, trouble was brewing when the fledgling company started to run out of funds.
As a result, Loot was put into administer in May of this year. In August, the company declared
bankruptcy. (Skingle, 2020)

Mark Readings: House Network ran an internet-based estate agency, which also
supported
native brokers that could do home valuations for those selling or letting homes, led by Founder
and CEO Mark Readings. The firm focused its attention on providing a positive consumer
experience and assistance, whether the customer was a buyer or seller, and services started at
£875. Nevertheless, in 2018, due to lack of market insight, House Network failed to close the
biggest deal of their company and started losing money. (Skingle, 2020)
