 Continuing on with my Star Man character development,
SAVIOUR is a stage where the character becomes 3D.
As I have been exploring the effect of interaction between artist -
artwork - audience, the physical statue will join the rest of the
visual communication developed for the A & P module.

SAVIOUR questions the visitors as to who will save them, who

will save the world from imminent annihilation due to the serious

consequences of climate change, greed, video
wars and corruption.

The backstory of our character remains the same: an alien space

traveller of extreme high - intelligence, encountering EARTH and
humanity and questioning human thinking/ behaviour.
I suppose the character is like a modern day ‘Little Prince’ (A. de
Saint Exupery ) with a more grown-up use of language.
 Various animated images of the star man
will appear through the building, with
sound and typography messaging,
showing glimpses of the project.

 However, we no longer read just messages, but the
star man engages with the public by taking
different shapes and intends to disrupt and
transform the space it will occupy at the Queen
Anne building, breakout space by the Victory
classroom.

The 6 white panels will engage with the public in

different ways:
1. Messaging through posters

2. A mirror cut out of the starvideo

prompts the visitor to ask their reflection:

ourselves as the one who can effect change
in the world first and foremost.
3. The project description
4. People can leave their messages about how
they see the world changing and their
contribution to it.
5. AI will be asked the question about the
future of humanity and the current state of
the world.
 6. The light in this space is super important
because of where the star man figure is
going to and the impact it will have due to the
materials I will be using to create it.
Iridescent PVC fabric breaks light in ways so
it appears in rainbowy colours but is see
through at the same time indicating the frail
notion of ‘the saviour’ who is essentially just
and idolisition of a thought which our mind
dresses up in shimmer and shine. It is there,

 I will need to resolve how the star man will be
hung up. EIther from the lights or by using a
transparent acrylic rod between the wall
edges.

 This time I want the layout of
the posters less random and
more organised. I think it will
fit in better with the clean
style of the area and also the
carpet that has geometric
shapes. The colours alo
harminise mostly with that of
the carpet (black / gray/ red )

 I might run a workshop
where people can use
water based sprays and
my stencils to create their
own version of star man.

 It is important for me to work on projects that have a
positive impact on our society and will do something good
for future generations.
