• Receipt and satisfactory review of references;
• Completion of the required criminal and child protective services background checks,
including fingerprinting, with acceptable results;
• Compliance with Maryland requirements to disclose information from your current and
former employees relating to any prior history or allegations of child sexual abuse or sexual
misconduct (HB486);
• Meeting any applicable Maryland state certification or license requirements;
• Compliance with other applicable MCPS or Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE)
policies and regulations related to hiring and employment, as well as pertinent provisions of the
negotiated agreement with the Montgomery County Education Association; and
• Execution of the MSDE provisional or regular contract, as appropriate, for approval by the
Montgomery County Board of Education.
