Planning Information
ECN: 76075
Reason: A product enhancement mod that allows the ViP™ Extended Audio
Callouts feature, added in Software Version 1.8, to work. Refer to
SB805-11900-1 for Software Version 1.8 information.
Description: Audio phrases necessary for the extended audio callouts feature are
added to U2. This Mod changes the Input/Output PCB Assembly to
P/N 812-11903-002.
Additional wiring to aircraft is required for the extended audio
callouts to work. An external audio switch must be installed (P1-32).
This switch allows the pilot to turn on and off (mute) the range,
relative altitude and relative bearing callout from the aural TA’s.
When the switch is in the “Normal” position the standard phrase
“Traffic, Traffic” is still annunciated. See figure 1 or latest
installation manual for interconnect information.
Compliance: Customer Units: Optional. Adds the extended audio callouts feature.
NOTE: Upgrade charges do apply; contact Customer Service at
(616) 949-6600 for pricing.
New Units: Future production units will incorporate Mod D.
