Please tell us why you gave that score?

Conference is meaning full itself, good way to network. BUT the venue is terrible, not good place to have meetings, not (1)
enough rooms at the venue and many people was staying far away from the venue itself. WAY too expensive for international
participants, not least considered several flights are needed since its in Goa.

Food and evening parties are not up to the mark. People are not satisfied at all. (1)

Goa is a nice place but far from the major cities. I'd recommend that Coaltrans India to be in Mumbai or New Delhi. (1)

Goa is difficult to get to from outside India, almost all the people I met at the event had 5-7 hour lay-overs in various Indian (1)
cities before finally arriving in Goa. Unless Goa gets direct flights in 2 years I will not attend.

Hot and humid indide (1)

I felt that the organisation lacked a bit. There was no wifi in the pagodas and it took a while to convince the prganisers that (1)
the signal was indeed very week. The pagodas themselves were poorly located and for the price charged it was a let down in
terms of location and the standard. The securty at the even was very rude too. I saw confrimed attendees denied entry even
when they showed the email confirmaion and invites as they were not carrying the laynards. I undertand their point but
couldnt undertand their lack of undertanding that the rooms were far from the cocktails area and in the humidity perhaps a
considertaion couldhave been made for those who showed proof of paying the fees!

No major coking coal customers present. Goa is not a good place to have a conference. The Hotel is not a business Hotel (1)
conducive to relaxed, private meetings.

Past coaltrans events used to have stalls by Ports, Crane Manufacturers, Grab Manufacturers and the Panel discussions also (1)
used to have topics pertaing to the handling of coal at ports etc. this year and last years events have only discussions or
presentations pertaining to the movement of coal, discussions about power plants and other logistics issues. This change of the
agenda does not align with our companys interests hence we are highly unlikely to participate in the event henceforth.

People from industry is reducing year by year (1)

Reasonable (1)

The conference was interesting, speeches were informative. But the choosen place was not at the level of coaltrans: Super (1)
hot. No direct flights to Goa from other countries except India, very hot - all are dressed formally - and everyone is sweating
all over the day... in Delhi at least you have a huge place with aircon, but here - even to go outside conference for a cup of
coffee - you need to go to a shower after. The idea with network space with some drinks was fantastic though

The event is not well organized. Participation is not great. (1)

There was no critical discussion on any topic. The speakers / presenters were average. No insightful or highly informative (1)
presentation. Found nothing new after hearing 2 days of presentations.

With such high Conference fees, even decent drinks were not served (1)

auditorium were mostly empty.. no initiative from organisers to make the discussions interactive and interesting (1)

depends where in India it is. (1)

not productive (1)

venue in wide spread location and no proper seating arrangements for meetings. (1)

Net promoter verbatim 7-8 (Total responses: 41)

What would it take for you to give a 9 or 10 rating?

9 (5)

8 (3)

1. The duration is too short and require more session 2. Please provide more speaker to present the global market condition (1)

6 (1)

7 (1)

Better Stay arrangements included in fee. (1)

Better organisation (1)

Better sessions, more speakers (1)

Better venue... we will see later on in New Delhi.. that way we can compare between Goa vs Delhi (1)

Bettr information about other countries supply and demand (1)

Change in venue of CoalTrans from Goa to either Delhi or Mumbai. (1)

Coaltrans venue hotel should be a place where there are cluster of hotels so that all the delegates and walk into the venue (1)

Government speakers; Views on Russian supply (1)

Had attendee list been given in hard copies would have been better (1)

Improve contents of panel discussion with people who can think beyond List of attendees does not include contact numbers (1)
or email addresses making it very difficult to get in touch

Location (1)

Lunch was arranged on 28th Feb, 2024 in the open where it was extremely hot making it very difficult to have lunch (1)
properly. Could have been arranged indoors.

Market Outlook (1)

More end users / industry & miners participation (1)

More participation from end user plants and sources (1)

More participation/presentations from miners and government authorities will be helpful. Too many shippers and brokers, (1)
small players, unable to give market view for the year.

More traders , shipowners ,large charterers presence (1)

No personal touch by organizer only digital tech platform so new members will not happy. (1)

Nothing (1)

Organising vent content is general, insight to explore in all coal user sectors (1)

Rooms at the venue (1)

Some more insights on coal business. Some speakers from Authority side like DG Shipping, MMD, Customs, Port with aids (1)
and / or consideration that they would be providing to ships for ease of doing business. Other arrangements.

Strategic collaboration with international market needs to be focus more. (1)

The lunch area was really a pain. Sitting in an open area when it is so hot and humid was very uncomfortable. Also, Djs and (1)
loud music during the opening session was also a let down.

Venue is not up to the mark. (1)

We are from shipping industry. If there is more participation of foreign firms (i mean relative) who are setting up new facilities (1)
that helps us in identifying opportunities.

a working app/meeting system and more sitting space in the networking area (1)

less US coal miners available (1)

Coaltrance is a well managed event (1)

Coaltrans India helps in holistic understanding of industry developments on regular basis. The agenda provides wide (1)
perspective on coal industry. Profile of attendees being diverse helps in networking and meeting other industry players which
helps in business development as well as market intelligence. Overall a must attend event for coal, mining and logistics
professionals.

Coaltrans events have been valuable to my career and have enriched my networking relationships building (1)

Coaltrans provides a great networking platform and should work on improving the venue standards. (1)

Event was good and widely participated. I would suggest organisers to introduce more of panel discussions on contemporary (1)
issues being faced by the industry in order to form a better consensus among the participants and also to invite Government to
participate in the event for sharing their Vision as well as for better understanding about the issues related to the industry.

Excellent, carry on (1)

First of all I find it appalling that you are forcing participants to provide a feedback just to access the presentations of the (1)
speakers. As a paid attendee we should have access to the slides as matter of routine. Instead we are forced to do this survey.
This is unacceptable.

Happening Event to attend every year (1)

I attended the COALTRANS 2024 with my colleague. Being a ship captain and thereafter a marine surveyor, I was involved (1)
only in a small part of the huge coal sector. In the conference, I got to know the various sectors involved in running of the
coal industry including the challenges they face & the new trends coming up. The most enlightening part was the fact the
Coal is not a villain. Even today, it is the cheapest means available for power generation which in turn leads to nation growth.
Various activities like plantation, reducing other sources of pollution would ensure that coal stays for quite a few decades
more till the time more viable & environment friendly solutions are achieved.

I had the pleasure of attending Coaltrans 2024, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. As a seasoned professional in (1)
the coal industry, I found the conference to be a truly enriching experience. First and foremost, the lineup of speakers was
exceptional. Experts from various sectors of the coal industry shared invaluable insights into the latest trends, challenges, and
opportunities facing our dynamic field. From discussions on sustainable mining practices to innovative technologies shaping
the future of coal production, every session was thought-provoking and informative. Furthermore, the networking
opportunities at Coaltrans 2024 were unparalleled. I had the chance to connect with colleagues and industry leaders from
around the globe, fostering new partnerships and collaborations that will undoubtedly benefit my organization in the long run.
The atmosphere was buzzing with energy and enthusiasm, making it easy to engage in meaningful conversations and
exchange ideas. The organizers did an excellent job of curating diverse content that catered to the interests of attendees from
different backgrounds. Whether you were interested in market trends, regulatory developments, or environmental concerns,
there was something for everyone at Coaltrans 2024. Overall, I left the conference feeling inspired and empowered to tackle
the challenges facing the coal industry with renewed vigor. I would highly recommend Coaltrans to anyone looking to stay
abreast of the latest developments and connect with like-minded professionals in the field. Kudos to the organizers for putting
together such a fantastic event. I can't wait for the next edition! Rgds Shantanu Saxena / Bainbridge Navigation Pte Ltd
