Business Administration program led to deep
connections, lifelong friendships, and a true
sense of belonging. He learned that working
hard alongside your peers — while it can have its
challenges — helps you realize what you’re truly
capable of as an individual.

Jeru also found collaboration to be a key part


of his role as the president and the vice-chair of
the Students’ Association of Lakeland College,
but in this case, it was virtual collaboration.

“My team and I did a lot of work helping to


consolidate financial resources from both
campuses, while we were also organizing events
and showing our support to students,” he says.
“It was challenging to do virtually, but having
many different perspectives helped lead us to
the best outcomes.”
