VOCABULARY – WEEK 12 – TECHNICAL ENGLISH

Student: Nonato Canales Sebastian

1.- Nurbs:

Are mathematical curves used to create smooth, precise surfaces in three-dimensional models.
These curves allow the creation of complex and detailed shapes in 3D objects more quickly and
accurately than other traditional modeling methods.

2.- Polygons:

Is a tool that allows you to create three-dimensional shapes and models from polygons. These
polygons are the basic shapes used to build 3D objects, such as squares, triangles, hexagons,
etc.
3.- Faces:

Refers to faces, which are the 2D planes formed by the vertices of a three-dimensional object.
Faces are important as they are the visible surfaces of an object and determine its appearance
and texture.

4.- Edges:

Refers to the lines that connect the vertices of three-dimensional models. These lines
represent the contours and edges of objects in the scene. Edges are important because they
help define the shape and structure of models, allowing you to create solid and detailed
geometric surfaces.
5.- Shaders:

They are a fundamental part of the 3D rendering process and are used to apply textures,
colors, and visual effects to objects in the scene. Shaders allow you to control how light
interacts with objects, creating realistic effects such as shadows, reflections, transparencies
and glows.
