Surgical Foundation (What will be done in Surgery)

Myocardial bypass surgery (MRS), also called coronary bypass surgery, is a

medical procedure to improve blood flow to the heart. It may be needed when the
arteries that supply blood to the heart tissue, called coronary arteries, are
narrowed or blocked.

CRM uses healthy blood vessels from another part of the body and connects them
to blood vessels proximal and distal to the blocked artery. This creates a new
route for blood to flow, which bypasses the clogged or occluded coronary artery.
Blood vessels are usually arteries in the arm or chest, or veins in the legs.
