Title: The Great Gilly Hopkins

Author: Katherine Paterson

Summary: At first, Gilly hate her new foster family and never
wanted to be a foster child, so she decided to be rude to her foster
family. Especially when she got the letter from her mother, so she
decided to steal the money from Mr. Randolph. After she got the
money, she went to the bus station and got caught by a police man.
Then, they called Trotter ( her foster mom ) to pick her up. She
accept the truth and start improve her behavior and even
understand that maybe the people who really love her is them, not
her real mom, but after she understand, she didn’t have a chance to
be with them anymore.

Favorite part: My favorite part Most interesting part: I think

of the story is when Gilly
started to improve. She play
and teach W.E more, help
Trotter and stop being rude to
her. She also help Mr. Randolph
and read books for him more.
the most interesting part is
when Gilly try to steal the
money and go to the bus
station. I believe that if you
didn’t read my summary, there
would be a big twist.

Recommendation: I would
recommend for you this book if
you like realistic book, this book
have super good theme that you
can even apply it to your life.
