1. What is creative tourism?

Creative tourism is a type of tourism that allows tourists to participate in activities that are
creative in nature, such as arts, crafts, music, dance, and cuisine. These activities provide
tourists with the opportunity to learn about and experience the local culture in a unique and
hands-on way.

2. What is local development?

Local development is an ongoing process that aims to improve the social, economic, and
environmental conditions of a community. It is a participatory process that involves the
active involvement of local residents in identifying and addressing their own needs.
3. Explain in your words the relationship (or not) of creative tourism with local
development?
Creative tourism can have a positive impact on local development in a number of ways. It
can:

 Promote economic growth: Creative tourism can generate new income-generating


opportunities for local businesses and individuals.
 Create jobs: Creative tourism can create direct jobs in the tourism sector, as well as
indirect jobs in related industries such as arts, crafts, and hospitality.
 Preserve cultural heritage: Creative tourism can help to preserve and promote local
culture by providing a platform for local artists and craftspeople to showcase their
work.
 Enhance social cohesion: Creative tourism can bring people together from different
backgrounds and cultures, fostering understanding and appreciation.
 Improve environmental sustainability: Creative tourism can promote sustainable
practices by encouraging tourists to learn about and respect the local environment.
