Educational Assistance Budget Proposal

Objective:
The objective of this proposal is to allocate educational assistance to
support the academic endeavors of deserving youths. This initiative aims to
provide financial aid to both Dean's Listers and regular students to
incentivize academic excellence and alleviate the financial burden of
pursuing education.

Allocation:
We propose allocating a budget to benefit 70 youths, consisting of:
- 15 Dean's Listers: Each Dean's Lister will receive a cheque worth
Php1500.
- 55 Regular Students: Each regular student will receive a cheque worth
Php1000 that will be divided in 2 Months.

The amount of Dean’s Listers may vary but not to the point of exceeding
the said value above. Thus, the amount of regular students may also vary
but not to the point of exceeding the number of 70.

Distribution Plan:
For the Dean’s Listers, each of them will receive a cheque worth Php1500.
The student who will receive the Php1500 worth of educational
assistance is not allowed to apply for another educational assistance
within the span of five months.

The distribution of the educational assistance for regular students will be

divided into 2 months to ensure effective management and timely
disbursement.
Month 1: Example: April
- 55 Regular Students will receive the half of Php1000 (Php500) in the first
month. The student who will receive Php500 educational assistance
may submit a renewal for the educational assistance after one and a
half months.
Month 2: Example: Mid June
- The remaining half of Php1000 (Php500) will receive by the 55 regular
student after one and a half months once they renewed. The student who
will receive the Php1000 worth of educational assistance is not
allowed to apply for another educational assistance within the span of
six months.

Selection Criteria:
1. Dean's Listers: Students who have consistently demonstrated
outstanding academic performance and have achieved the Dean's List
status.
2. Regular Students: Students who are actively enrolled and pursuing their
education, irrespective of their academic standing.

Implementation Strategy:
1. Verification: Verify the academic standing through Certificate of Grades
of the applicants to ensure eligibility for the Dean's List category.
2. Selection: Select the beneficiaries based on the selection criteria
mentioned above. First come first serve for only 55 Regular Students and
15 Dean’s Lister.
3. Disbursement: Issue cheques and petty cash to the selected
beneficiaries in accordance with the distribution plan outlined above.

Budget Breakdown:
- Dean's Listers: 15 x Php1500 = Php22,500
- Regular Students: 55 x $1000 = Php55,000
- Total Budget: Php77,500
- Quarterly Budget: Php250,000

Out of the total quarterly budget of Php250,000, only Php77,500 will be

allocated for educational assistance for youths with a percentage of 30.8%.
The remaining Php172,000 out of the Php250,000 will be designated
solely for individuals seeking financial aid at the office for their
medication, hospitalization, burial, etc.
Conclusion:
By implementing this educational assistance budget proposal, we aim to
empower 70 youths to pursue their educational goals with reduced financial
stress. This initiative not only recognizes academic excellence but also
promotes inclusivity by supporting all students in their educational journey.
Additionally, the number of youths submitting documents to the
office will be monitored, as they will be given a timeframe within
which they cannot renew for 5-6 months upon receiving their
educational assistance grant.
