1. All team heads should explain their documentation and demonstrate their projects by
Thursday.
2. Poster for circuit building contest will be designed by Amirtha by tomorrow and the
permission for that subjected to be by tomorrow (saturday) from Dean ma’am.
3. Permission for Pitching of circuit building contest at VKJ, VV and NMV from Dean ma’am
will be by tomorrow (5/4/24).
Explanation and allotment of work for the upcoming circuit building contest:
General points:
1. Date of contest: 13/4/24 saturday.
2. Cash prizes will be provided for the winners.
3. The contest consists of three rounds.
4. Each team consists of two members.

Round 1: Mystery Box


2nd years in-charge:

Workflow:
Each mystery box consists of Circuit name and its components zipped in a ziplock. The
participants randomly pickup a ziplock and start making their circuit. The circuit name does not
specify the accurate information, rather an overall idea of the circuit. For example, if the circuit
name is Power amplifier, the participant have to sort out which class (A,B,AB or C) based on the
components available in the ziplock. A total of 50 circuit designs have to be made based on
first and second year lab circuits or equivalent . Each in-charge second year student
must contribute ten circuits each. All circuits are to be tested before sorting them into
ziplock.

Round 2: Circuit building based on problem statement

Workflow:
six problem statements to be made. Each problem statement is based on a particular
sensor. Each problem statement should be of great difficulty. Problem Statements are expected
to be of length paragraphs. Submission of problem statements is Monday night. The overall
outline is underlying concept of using sensors apart from which additional suggestions to be
discussed among the members by coordinating and to be given out as one final draft by
Monday.

Round 3: Auction based Circuit Building:

Workflow:
An auction will be conducted for 20 sensors, without revealing their names, only the
name of the sensor which is auctioned at that instant is known to the participants. Note that the
components used in previous rounds can also be used in the third round. Working of each
sensor has to be checked before it is brought up to the auction.

Note:
1. All second years must be present for the upcoming meets. Third years are
expected as well.
2. Dress code during the contest is Blue
3. Inventory in-charge people are expected to text Abhijith to take the components ,
tomorrow (5/4/24)
4. WhatsApp group for respective rounds will be created by today morning. (5/4/24)
5. Apart from the members assigned, the rest will be also be given additional requirments
to be done during the next week.
