Spot Report re: Shooting Incident Resulted to

the death of Wennabeth Amante

DATE : May 14, 2024

1. On May 14, 2024 at about 3:00 p.m. a shooting incident transpired at Sibulan Public Market,
wherein victim one Wennabeth, 25 years old married, a sari-sari store owner, a resident of
Barangay Poblacion Sibulan, Negros Oriental, was shot by suspect Ace Briane Albiso, 28 years
old, married tricycle driver and a resident in Barangay Maslog, Sibulan Negros Oriental.

2. As a result thereof the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of the
body and was rushed to Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but was
pronounced Dead On Arrival (DOA) by the attending physician.

3. The suspect was arrested at his house during Hot- pursuit operation conducted by the PNP
Sibulan MPS, but the weapon used in the commission of the crime was not recovered and he
is now under the police custody in Sibulan Police Station for investigation and proper
disposition. The cadaver of the victim was moved to Regional Crime Laboratory Office for
autopsy and examination.

4. The motive of incident is undetermined and the case is still under investigation.

1. This has reference to memurandum spot report Re: shooting incident resulted to the death of
Wennabeth Amante dated May 14, 2024.

2. As a result thereof the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of the
body and was rushed to Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital for medical treatment but was
pronounced Dead On Arrival (DOA) by the attending physician.

3. The suspect was arrested at his house during Hot- pursuit operation conducted by the PNP Sibulan
MPS, but the weapon used in the commission of the crime was not recovered and he is now under
the police custody in Sibulan Police Station for investigation and proper disposition. The cadaver of
the victim was moved to Regional Crime Laboratory Office for autopsy and examination.

4. The suspect Ace Briane Albiso is currently detained at Sibulan Municipal Police Station and case of
Homicide in violation of Article 249 of the revised penal code is pending for trial.

5. The case is already raffled at branch 20 of Sibulan Municipal Trial Court.
