Introduction

In the Philippines, Barangay Tanods play a crucial role in maintaining peace in order within respective
communities. This study seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of Barangay Tanods in upholding peace in
order in Barangay Agos. With increasing concern regarding safety and security at the grassroots level,
understanding the performance of Barangay tanods becomes imperative for enhancing community well-
being.

Barangay Agos, situated [provide location details if necessary], faces various socioeconomic challenge,
contributing to the complex of maintaining peace and order. Amidst these challenges, Barangay tanods
stands as front line guardian, tasked with enforcing local ordinance, preventing crime, and resolving
conflicts within the community.

The effectiveness of Barangay Tanods hinges on various factors, including their training, resources,
collaboration with law enforcement agencies, community engagement, and the support they receive from
Barangay officials. This research aims to assess these factors comprehensively to provide insights into the
strengths and weaknesses of the Barangay Tanods system in Barangay Agos.

By evaluating the effectiveness of Barangay Tanods, this study aims to contribut e to the improvement of
peace and order maintaining strategies at the Barangay level. The findings of the research could inform
policymakers, Barangay officials, and community members on areas for enhancement, resource
allocation, and policy formulation to create safer and more secure communities.

Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including survey, interviews, and
data analysis, this research endeavors to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role and
performance of Barangay Tanods in Barangay Agos. Ultimately, the findings of this study aspire to
facilitate evidence-based decision-making processes aimed at strengthening the peace and order
mechanism at the barangay level, thereby fostering safer and more harmonious communities.
