… is people above a specified age (usually 15) not being in paid employment or self-employment but currently
available for work during the reference period.

Meritocracy (?) => attributed status (gender, age, religion, ethnics, familiar name …)

Neoliberalism => individuality and independent labour market (social inequality, segregation,
distance …)

Job scarcity, controlled and monopolized entry into the labour market (nepotism?)

In Slovenia? => People not ready to work in certain sectors (public!)

Employers => workforce idleness (syndicates => unachievable work standards)

political systems
A ruling minority (the social elite) and the ruled majority
Culture reproduction and reinforcement => deciding word in the educational system
A highly biased school system => enforcing subjects (competent workforce)

Two aspects of poverty:

Absolute poverty (satisfying our basic needs — food, water, living condition needs)

indigence, penury (extreme poverty), best described as destitution

highly individualistic, cultural differences

no universal definition

Relative poverty (satisfying the “normal living threshold”)

Homelessness
Homelessness, rooflessness or houselessness is the condition of lacking stable, safe, and functional housing
(precarious hosing ). There are many aspects of homelessness:

living on the streets,


moving between temporary shelters, including houses of friends, family, and emergency
accommodation,

not having access to permanent or secure housing,

internally displaced persons, who leave their domiciles because of civil conflict and are refugees
within their country's borders
