TYPES OF PARTNERSHIP
1. Short-term partnerships - also called
straightforward undertakings in which
partnerships with individuals, businesses, or
organizations work well for one-shot or
occasional collaborations. It is usually made with
a verbal agreement and documentation of each
party’s commitment can be done in an email.

2. Long-Term Partnerships - require extensive

planning and often involve committees
and numerous representatives from each
business/organization. A formal agreement
is necessary.

1. Library partnerships with both the public and private sectors can be mutually beneficial, as
they can enhance the resources, services, and reach of libraries while also supporting the
goals and objectives of the partnering organizations. (Hoppenfeld & Malafi, 2015)

2. Community involvement is a crucial aspect of a library's mission and plays a

significant role in making libraries vibrant and relevant hubs within their
neighborhoods or towns. (Fifka et al., 2017)
