Summer Break Holidays Homework (2024-25)

Dear Parents
Vacations are the most appropriate time for kids to refresh and
rejuvenate themselves to be creative and to learn new skills.
Children have ample energy which should be channelized in the right
direction to get the best out of them. We have designed holiday
homework, keeping this in mind. It will build their confidence and new
skills.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: :-

 Eat healthy food daily and drink lots of water and juices.
 Read every day. Watch less TV/mobiles.
 Good manners are essential for success. Always respect your
parents, grandparents, and all elders.
 Appreciate nature by taking long walks in a park or garden with your
family and friends.
 Do your homework neatly and on your own.
 Revise the previous work.
 ENGLISH
 Prepare a colourful Dictionary having minimum 30 words with meanings to enhance the vocabulary.
Also make sentences using these words. Decorate the cover and give a suitable name to your dictionary.
 Make a beautiful bookmark for your Literature reader. Decorate it and write an inspirational quotation
which inspires you. Get the bookmark laminated.
 Write any two paragraphs in 60 to 70 words on the following topics: 1. Health is wealth

2. Cleanliness 3. Trees -Our Best Friends

 Learn any one poem from the Celebrate Literature Book and write it beautifully on a A4 size sheet.
 Write at least 15 pages neatly in your cursive writing books. Emphasize on formations, neatness and
punctuation.
 Revise the syllabus covered for the Unit Test

HINDI
 अपनी सुलेख माला पुस्तक में प्रतितिन एक सुलेख कीतिए।
 प्रथम इकाई परीक्षा हेिु अभी िक कराए गए सभी पाठ याि करें और तलखकर रफ कॉपी में अभ्यास करें ।
 A-4 सीट पर तहिंिी महीन िं के नाम अिंग्रेिी महीन िं के साथ तलखखए और उन्हें याि कीतिए। (स्क्रैपबु क में कायय करें )
 क ई एक कहानी की पु स्तक पत़िए और उसके तकसी एक चररत्र के बारे में 10 पिंखियााँ तलखखए।

MATHEMATICS
1. Complete the notebook of Mathematics.
2. Make a chart of properties of multiplication and division.
3. Do the revision worksheets provided
4. Make a working model (as per roll numbers)
● Types of Angles (Roll no 1 to 10)
● Factor Tree (Roll no 11 to 20)
● Fractions (Roll no 21 to 30)
● Shapes Patterns and Nets (Roll no 31 to 45)
5. Complete all given worksheet till date and revise it for UT-1
6. Revise Ch-1 (Place Value) and 2 (Addition Subtraction and their applications) for UT-1.
7. Do ONE question daily of each operation:
a. Addition and Subtraction (6 to 9 digits)
b. Multiplication and Division (2 to 3 digits)
 SCIENCE

1. Learn lesson 1,2, and 3

2. Make a poster on-i) 'soil conservation? (use A4 sheet for poster making)

ii) Effects of Human Activities on Environment: -

 SAVE EARTH or GLOBAL WARMING Or GREEN HOUSE EFFECT

3.Make a working model of ‘solar systems denoting – Sun, Planets, Asteroid belt and satellite

4 Make a model of i) Human Eye or Human Ear

5. Collect information about Ozone Hole and make a report on it. Enhance it with pictures.

SOCIAL STUDIES

1 Make a model of : sea breeze Or Land breeze

2 Make a cloth bag using old clothes

Or

Make a garbage bin using waste material

3 Make a model of Social Media (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram etc)

4 Do Assignment 1,2 complete and paste in your notebook.

5 Learn chapters 1 and 2 for the Unit test.

DRAWING
 Make a photo frame
 Make a Bouquet craft (Use handmade sheet, ribbon, newspaper, coloured sheet)

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE

1. Read newspaper daily and write 10 current affairs on A-4 sheet.

2. Make a Model on ‘Historical Monuments.
3. Make a Chart of national emblem of India.
4. Revise Chapters done in the class.
 COMPUTER

Application based task (as per syllabus)

Imagine that we are going to live with robots in near future. Robots become part of our family and helping us

in our daily life. For ex. Doing our homework, cleaning our house etc. and write your views about it.

Activity- Based task

Make a time-line of evolution of computers.

Or

Make a chart on early calculating devices

Practical (Do on Computer)- Collect information about wearable computerized devices and prepare a PPT

(MS PowerPoint) on these devices.
