 Rules & Regulation
System of play : The Latest FIDE Rapid Rules in force shall and the swiss system will be followed.

Mode of the Tournament : Total 9 rounds shall be played.

Time Control : 10 Min + 5sec increment from move no. 1
Tie Break : Bucholz cut1, Bucholz, Sonneborn-berger, Direct encounter, Greater number of
wins with forefit games, incase of tie prize will not be shared.

AICF Player Registration : AICF registration is compulsory for all indian players. AICF player
registration fee is Rs. 300/- for the year of 2023-2024. All AICF registration will be accepted
through online only. Players/Arbiters registration should be done well before the start of the
event, new entrants to the field of chess are informed that AICF players registration is
mandatory and it should be done well before participating in any tournament.

For fresh AICF registration, players are requested to keep their scanned passport size
photograph and birth certificate and a valid mail email address not used by other player for
AICF, ready before the registration process. Note : only passport photo size (less than 1MB)
photographs in jpeg format should be uploaded.

TNSCA Player Registration : TNSCA Player reg is compusory for all tamilnadu players.
TNSCA player reg fee is Rs.150 for the year of 2023-2024. Players / Arbiters registration
should be done well before the start of event (Tournament). New entrants to the field of chess
are informed that TNSCA players registration is mandatory and it should be done well before

TVLRDCA Player Registration : Thiruvallur DCA Reg fee Rs. 75 is compulsory for the
year of 2023-2024. For Thiruvalluri district players only, if already paid kindly bring the receipt copy.

Protests : Protests if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing
with protest fee of Rs. 500 - within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the
appeals committee. The protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is unhelped.

Rights of admission : The AICF/TNSCA/Thiruvallur DCA/Organizer BBCF reserve the rights

of admission to the venue.

Electronic device’s : Ban of electronic devices and wrist watches. All electronic items including
mobile phones and wrist watches (all type of watches) are not allowed in the tournament hall.
