Please pay attention to these warnings to prevent all the dangers to your property
and life.
These machines were designed and produced to work safely for providing chilled
water for comfort or industrial purposes. They must be employed only for the use
they are designed for; only approved refrigerants and oils may be used. Do not start
the system unless the installation is completed and the refrigerant is filled. The
manufacturer will not accept any responsibility in case of any damage caused by the
misuse of the machine.
The installation, start-up and maintenance works should be done by a qualified
technician.
The main voltage must be cut-off during any work done on the unit.
MAIN SAFETY RULES

Although your experience and knowledge are sufficient, but you are not
authorized, never put yourself into action in setting, controlling, installing
and fixing operations.

Although you are authorized but your experience and knowledge are not
sufficient, never put yourself into action in setting, controlling, installing
and fixing operations

Important Note: Try to understand the safety instructions and to take the
necessary precautions. Refer to the product presentation pictures as you are
following the safety instructions.

• The pipes and the equipment that carry the pressurized gas in the machines were
made of the material that offers resistance to internal and external forces. During
the maintenance and setting, if a blow comes onto the tank, the pipe that carries the
gas, this will decrease the safety of the machine. Don’t allow any equipment to be
damaged by external effects.

• All the pieces of the machines just have one correct connection point. Do not
change the correct connection during the maintenance, setting and installation of
the machine.

• The working frequency is harmless to human health and environmental interaction

and the high frequency doesn’t spread any radio frequency and microwave.
• The machines designed to decrease the dangers and risks to min. that is caused by
the human mistake. Don’t use the machines in the conditions that is not suitable to
the purpose of chiller.
• The electrical panels, circuits and attachments of the machines are addressed to
the authorized personnel only. The safety and protection precautions in these areas
are valid if you don’t touch and change the settings. It can cause a danger if you
touch in these areas directly or indirectly. In any way do not touch on electrical
cables, panels, devices and attachments that you don’t know. Make sure you are
away and isolated from these areas.
• To form a safety and precaution mechanism to fulfill definite functions at
machines, a safety and setting arrangement which is formed by the sensor, button,
contactor etc... is available. Do not disturb this arrangement replace with a new
original one if it’s broken down.
• The mechanical risk parts of the machines are isolated from the environment as it
is covered in its construction. Do not open the cover and protection while the
machine is working, if it is opened, close it before the machine is starting up. Be
careful when you touch these areas even if the machine isn’t working.
• Keep away from the hot surface and areas of the machines. Do not be near the- se
areas and do not touch directly or indirectly. m sure these areas are cool enough
touch even if the machine is not working.
• On all of the machines, warning labels were stuck for the cases that must be
warned again. Do not touch to be and stay away from the areas that you see these
warning labels if there is a definite risk. Follow the instructions on the labels. Change

RESOURCE, TERM SERVICES AND STORAGE

Handling
Be careful to avoid rough handling of the unit. Do not push or pull the unit from anything
other than the base. Keep forklift vehicle away from side panels to prevent damage to the
sheet metal cabinet (see Figure 1).To lift the unit, 60mm diameter lifting holes are provided
in the base of the unit. Arrange spreader bars and cables to prevent damage to the
condenser coils or cabinet (see Figure 2).

Figure 1 Figure 2

Unit Placement
Frigomekanik chiller units are for outdoor applications and can be mounted on a roof or
ground level. Set units on a solid and level foundation. For roof-mounted applications, install
the unit on a steel channel or I-beam frame to support the unit above the roof. For ground
level applications, install the unit on a substantial base that will not settle. A one-piece
concrete slab with footings extended below the frost line is recommended. Be sure the
foundation level is (within 1/2” [13mm] over its length and width). On ground level
applications protect fins against damages using the optional coil guards or by erecting a
screen fence. The fence must allow free flow of air to the condenser coil for proper
unit operation.
• The durability of the installation is determined by the established service life, which is
a passport characteristic, during which the operation of the installation is ensured,
subject to compliance with the requirements of the operational documentation.

• The shelf life of equipment depends on compliance with the storage conditions prior
to use.operation or during long-term storage and depends on the ability of
preservatives to protect the equipment.

• At the end of the specified service life of the installation, its operation must be
stopped and a decision must be made on its disposal or inspection and installation of
new specified characteristics (specified service life).

• The reliability of the installation is ensured by the development, implementation and

control of organizational, as well as technical and scientific measures aimed at
meeting the established requirements for the reliability of the installation.

• All unit are designed for use with HFC refrigerants. See nameplate for specific
refrigerant used. Units are shipped with nitrogen (inert gas) charge for avoiding
possible leakage during the shipment. The unit must be vacuumed properly and then
charged with the appropriate refrigerant (on the nameplate) before the startup.

Chiller Unit; Requirements For The Unit Location Area

• Should be free of dust.
• Humidity should be below of a certain level (not higher than %75 for summer
• season).
• Protected against extreme cold and frost conditions.
• In case of an enclosed place, it should be provided that the site is ventilated avoiding
overheating (over 40 °C).
• The unit should not be exposed to direct sunlight. All precautions should be taken in
any case.

Operations On The Unit

• The installation, start-up and maintenance works should be done by a qualified
technician
• The main voltage must be cut-off during any work done on the unit.
In Case Of Danger

• Switch off the unit by on/off key.

• Switch off the main voltage (from the main switch).
• Ask for professional assistance from an authorized technician.
• DO NOT try to change the settings by trial-fail.
• The technician should follow the instruction in this manual.
