Method Training Session

Objective: To prepare and conduct a demonstration-performance method training session on layouting


and designing using digital media.

Learning Objectives:

 Demonstrate proficiency in using design software for layouting.

A. Explanation
 Introduce the purpose and importance of creating certificates.
 Explain key elements of a certificate, such as design, content, and layout.
 Discuss the software tools and techniques used for certificate creation.
B. Demonstration
 Use a computer to show each step of making a certificate using Canva.
 Highlight key features, such as inserting text boxes, formatting text, adding images or logos,
and customizing the layout.
 Narrate each step and explain the rationale behind design choices.
C. Student Performance
 Give everyone a chance to use a computer with Canva to make their own certificates.
 Assign trainees to practice creating their own certificates, following the demonstrated steps.
 Encourage trainees to experiment with different design elements and layouts.
D. Instructor Supervision
 Circulate among trainees to provide assistance, answer questions, and offer guidance as
needed.
 Observe trainees' progress and provide feedback on their certificate designs.
 Ensure trainees are applying the demonstrated techniques effectively.
E. Evaluation
 Introduce the Performance Criteria Checklist, outlining specific criteria for evaluating
certificate creation skills (e.g., clarity of design, alignment of text, use of appropriate fonts).

 Select a trainee to present his/her certificate designs.
 Use the Performance Criteria Checklist to evaluate their designs based on predetermined criteria.
