Utilizing multiple data collection methods, like interviews, observations, and participant
journals, provides a more comprehensive understanding of participants’ experiences and the
phenomenon under study. Each technique captures different aspects of the phenomenon under
study, enriching the data and enhancing the depth of analysis. Corroborating evidence and
reducing the likelihood of bias error from using multiple data collection increase the credibility
and reliability of research findings because comparing and contrasting information from different
sources helps researchers triangulate their findings. Furthermore, when themes emerge
consistently across diverse data sources, researchers can have greater confidence in the reliability
and authenticity of the findings. This reinforces the validity of the identified themes. Interviews
offer an in-depth exploration of individual perspectives, while observations provide insight into
participants' behavior and interactions in natural settings. Diverse data collection methods
enhance reflexivity in research. Such engagement helps the researchers reflect on their biases,
assumptions, and perspectives and mitigate potential sources of bias, ultimately increasing the
credibility of the findings (Creswell, 2013; Denzin & Lincoln, 2018).
