Have you ever heard about volunteering to graduate?

Let me tell you about my experience

doing mandatory volunteering. In my college, we had to complete certain volunteer hours to
graduate. And the same thing had happened to me in high school. Even though mandatory
volunteering has some positive effects on our society, I certainly believe that it should be a
proposal rather than an obligation because it threatens democracy and the freedom that each
person deserves.

First of all, although mandatory volunteering contributes to charitable social works to society,
The quality of work will not be the same as that of a person who decided to volunteer himself.
When a person is determined and has a passion for volunteering, the individual will do it in the
best way possible. For instance, Surveys on the quality of volunteer work show a big difference
between those who chose to volunteer and those who didn't. It is more than clear that the
best option for volunteering is when itis voluntary.

Despite the fact that mandatory volunteering is better than sitting around watching TV, it is a
fact that many people have duties to perform, and they won't manage time. When a person
has responsibilities to fulfill, mandatory volunteering will be detrimental for that person. For
example, although my friend didn't have time, he had to volunteer, which affected his
academic grades in college. For reasons such as these, the individual should decide if the
person is fit on time to volunteer inspired and effectively.

Finally, in spite of the fact that mandatory volunteering contributes in many aspects to our
community, it affects many people and takes away the essence of truly volunteering. It is
essential to keep in mind that there will be no volunteering without passionate, real
volunteers. With this in mind, Shouldn't the school or university encourage students to
volunteer themselves instead of forcing them to do it?
