INTRODUCTION
 India’s Yaarana chai Bar, which was founded in 2020. is a tea
business that is expanding quickly . The goal of Yaarana chai Bar
is to combine the health advantage of Kulhad with India's
Most popular Beverage, "Chai." It originates from Madhya
Pradesh's business Metropolis and is renowned for both its
distinctiveness and top-notch Service.
 This Startup started with 3 lakhs and now the Company
Valuation is 20 Cr.
 The business has provided numerous delicious Kulhad Chai.
 Brought an idea of doing some creativity with chai and create a
chai chain brand named yaarana chai Bar.
 Yaarana chai Bar is known for his quality and world - class
service.

 Unique concept- YCB came up with a unique concept of
providing the Teas in Kulahds to their customers . Moreover, the
chai stays steaming hot, be it steaming hot, be it summers or a
bone chilling winter. This is one of the main reasons of their
success and also proper implement of the idea.

 Employees’ Provident Fund Act, 1956
Applies to every establishment having 20 or more persons.
Wage limit for applicability is <15000.

the form of a non-attachable and non-withdrawable
(except in severely restricted circumstances like buying

 Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972


Applicable to all factories, Companies, Shops and
establishments, Education institutions.
Calculation:-
Payment of Gratuity (15 days salary for every completed year of
service) to be payable to an employee after
rendering services of 5 years on his:
─ Superannuation
─ Retirement or resignation
─ Death or disablement due to accident or disease.
 Shops and Establishment Act
Any shop or commercial establishment that commences
operation must apply to the Chief Inspector for a Shop and
Establishment Act License within the prescribed time.
 Child and Adolescent labour Act 1986
a) Minimum age limit for a child to work is 14 or above.
b) Child is not allowed to work more than 6 hours with an
interval for rest for at least one hour.
c) Child is not permitted for work overtime.
d) Job responsibility shall not include any hazardous work like
work in kitchen near fire and gas.
e) Supervision and support are being provided for young
employees throughout their employment.
f) Flexible hours are allowed for encouraging them for their
education.
g) No discrimination is to be practiced in providing
compensation.

Notice to Inspector
From the date of onboarding of child as an employee within 30 days
a written notice is to be sent to the Inspector within whose local
limits the establishment is situated the notice shall contain :-

(a) The name and situation of the establishment;


(b) The name of the person in actual management of the establishment;
(c) The address to which communications relating to the establishment
should be sent ; and
(d) The nature of the occupation or process carried on in the establishment.

 Minimum wages Act


Wages are provided on the basis of Timework and Overtime work
done by employees for piece work or time rate workers.
 Employee State Insurance Act, 1948
The applicability for this act is for factories and establishments as per
the order of government having 10 or more employees, The Yaarana
Chai Bar is providing the facility of ESIC to its employee’s benefits.
This Act gives benefits to only those employees whose monthly
salary is less than 21000.
Contribution:-

BENEFITS TO THE INSURED
The insured persons, their dependants are entitled to the following
benefits on prescribed scale:
 Periodical payments in case of sickness certified by medical
practitioner;
 Periodical payments to an insured workman sickness arising out
of pregnancy,
 Periodical payment to an insured person suffering from
disablement as a result of employment injury;
 Periodical payment to dependants of insured person;
 Medical treatment and attendance on insured person;
 Payment of funeral expenses on the death of insured person at
the prescribed rate of Rs.1,500/-

 Payment of Bonus Act, 1965


Applicable to every factory and establishment having 20 or more
workers are appointed during an accounting year.
Eligibility of Bonus:-
 Employees/workers who have worked for more than 30 days in
a month and drawing salary/remuneration of Rs.
21,000/- per month.
 Salary or wage means all remuneration (other than remuneration
in respect of overtime work) capable of being
expressed in terms of money, and Dearness allowance (that is to
say, all cash payments, by whatever name
called, paid to an employee on account of a rise in the cost of
living).

Amount of Bonus:-
 Mandatory for employer to pay Minimum Bonus of 8.33% of
Salary & Maximum Bonus of 20% of Salary from
the accounting year in which establishment has profits
(excluding First 5 years of existence)
 Payment of statutory bonus- within statutory time limit of 8
months of close of financial year
 Company is entitled to adjust any customary or interim
bonus/puja bonus, against bonus payable under this Act.

 Employee Compensation Act, 1923 (Workmen’s Compensation


Act)
Applicable all over India.
In case of death of an employee, his dependents, to get, at the cost
of his employer compensation for employment injury. The object of
the Act is to provide for the payment of compensation by employers

to their employees for injury caused to them by accident while in


employment.
If an employee contracts an occupational disease while in
employment, it is also treated under the Act as injury caused by
accident. The compensation has been enhanced to Rs.1, 20,000/-in
case of death and Rs.1, 40,000/-in case of disablement resulting from
injury. The amount of funeral expenses has been enhanced to
Rs.5, 000/-.
Further, under Section 18A, penalty for contravention of Act has been
increased from present Rs.5, 000/- to Rs.50, 000/-which may extend
to one lakh rupees.
 CONTRACT LABOUR (REGULATION AND ABOLITION)
ACT 1970
Eligibility
Every establishment in which 20 or more workmen are employed or
were employed on any day of the preceding 12 months as contract
labor.
Every contractor who employs or who employed on any day of the
preceding twelve months 20 or more workmen.
Object of the Act
To regulate the employment of contract labor in certain
establishments and to provide for its abolition in certain
circumstances and for matters connected therewith.
Registration of Establishment
Principal employer employing 20 or more workers through the
contractor or the contractor(s) on deposit of required fee in Form 1.
