Executive MBA: FAQs

1. Is CAT/GMAT scores are required to apply for Executive MBA?

- No. IIM Nagpur conducts its own screening exam IIMNAT. CAT/GMAT or any other
exam is not required to apply for Executive MBA.

2. Could you please confirm the mode of classes for this program i.e. whether it is full time
residential program or classes will be conducted online or it in blended mode?
- This is a non-residential program conducted face to face. If there are any government
regulations due to Pandemic, sessions may be move online as per government norms.
The current batch’s timings are
- Nagpur campus timings: Fri and Sat: 6.30p.m. to 9.45p.m., Sunday: 10: 00a.m - 1:15 p.m,
2 sessions, if required additional sessions from 02.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. & 04.30 p.m. to
06:00 p.m., 2 sessions
- Pune campus timings: Sat 6.30 p.m. to 9.45 p.m., Sunday: 9.30a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. What degree is offered at the end of the programme?

- On successful completion of all the Executive MBA programme requirements, the
candidates will be awarded the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

4. Do you provide any placements for the Executive MBA program?

- There will be no placement support/assistance from the institute for this programme.
This is in line with MBA for Working Professionals programmes at various top
institutes in India and globally.

5. Can the candidate be unemployed at the time of applying for this program, (considering that
the candidate has the minimum required work experience, which is 3 years)?
- To be eligible for the programme, the candidate must be currently working/employed
full-time and satisfy all the eligibility criteria.

6. Is there any provision to transfer the admission offers between two campuses?
- There is no provision to transfer the admission offers between the two campuses. If
someone has obtained admission to a particular campus, he/she has to take up the
course in that campus only. If he/she in interested in the other campus, then he/she
needs to go through the admissions process for that campus.

7. IIM Nagpur give any relaxation to reservation candidate during admissions?

- Reservations are applicable as per GoI norms.

8. What is the admission process for the Executive MBA program?

- There are three main stages in Admissions namely scrutiny of submitted
application, IIMNAT screening test and Personal Interviews.

9. What are the fees for Executive MBA at IIM Nagpur?

- The total fee of the program is Rs 9,50,000. The fees will need to be paid in 4 instalments,
twice per year. An additional amount of Rs 20,000 towards refundable caution deposit
will have to be paid along with the first term fee. The fee payable at the time of acceptance
of the admission offer is Rs. 50,000. This amount of Rs 50,000 will be adjusted against the
fee to be paid at the start of Term 1.

10. Is hostel facility available for Executive MBA students?

- No, hostel facility will be available for Executive MBA students as this is non-residential
program. Guest house facility may be available on payment basis for few days.

12. Is IIMNAT mandatory for all? The exam will be online or offline? What is the syllabus of the
exam?
- All candidates need to appear in IIM Nagpur Screening exam (IIMNAT) to be held in
face to face mode. There are no prescribed books. More information about the topics in
