- B Crochet Hook
- Sport Weight Yarn (3) I’ve listed the actual yarns I used on the last page of this
- Tapestry Needle pattern. Please don’t let that limit you as to what yarns you
- Scissors choose. I prefer to work in mercerized cotton and have found
- 8 mm safety eyes my favorite go to yarns. The brands that I have chosen are
- Polyester Fiber fill listed as sport weight or DK, (and even sock weight) ranging
- Pins from weight of 1 to 3. When I was first starting to learn
- Stitch Marker amigurumi and I would purchase patterns that had “fancy
- 20 gauge Crafting Wire yarn” that I didn’t have in my stash, or couldn’t find at local
- plastic canvas big box store and I wasn’t sure how to convert it for the
yarns I did have. I have tried to avoid this in my patterns
while still using the yarn I like to work with. So even though
my listed yarns seem like they are all different weights, I
have tested and swatched all to make sure that they work as
Yarn Colors the same weight regardless of what the label lists it at. (For
example, the sock weight Hobbii yarn crochets up in size
- Light Beige - White identical to a DK weight in acrylic Paintbox yarn).
- Blue - Red So if you follow the pattern using yarn that has a weight of 2
- Yellow - Black or 3 or are the exact yarns I used, use a B hook for the doll.
- Dark Gray - Brown If you would prefer using worsted weight (4) in cotton OR
- Light Gray acrylic, all you need to do is use a D hook for the doll.

Take your crafting wire and cut approximately 14 inches. Fold the wire in half and then insert the
wire into the doll, making sure that the top of the wire sits snuggly into the head. The wire will go
down, through the neck and the torso and then branch off with one side into each leg (as
illustrated in fig. A.) Once the first leg is complete, start stuffing the torso and the first leg.
Then start working on the second leg.

Arm Assembly
Cut a piece of crafting wire approximately 7 inches long. You want it to pass through the
body and each arm and then into the hand. Fold over the wire at the end so the end doesn’t
poke through the hand. Slip the arms onto the wires and attach directly to the body with a
tapestry needle and matching yarn.

Hold the two panels on top of each other with the front sides facing each other. Attach your silver
yarn to the bottom of the two panels with a sc. Make sure you insert the hook through ALL four
loops from each side (fig. B). Work a sc in each matching stitch until you reach the top.
** you may want to block the pieces before connecting them and continuing on. I didn’t block mine,
but I think it would have been easier if i did.
Carol Anne
Now you have your two pieces crocheted together. Finish off and attach your Dark Grey yarn
to the upper right side of the panel.
With Dark Grey: Attach your yarn to the corner stitch. Sc in this stitch
and the next 28 stitches, work 3 stitches in the corner, sc 15 down the
1 short side, work 3 sc into the corner stitch, sc 27 across the bottom, 96
work 3 sc in the corner stitch, sc 15 up the last short side and sc 2x into
the last corner stitch. Switch to BROWN on this last st.

3x in the last corner.
Don’t finish off. The front panel is done, now you will start on the
easier task of crocheting the sides. This will be done in the round
AND in the BACK LOOPS only
In the BLO: sc in each stitch around for SEVENTEEN rounds. Now your
4-20 104
tv has its front and sides. Don’t finish off.
You will be continuing on to work on the back panel after you’ve attached your ghost arm to
the front of the tv. But first cut a piece of plastic canvas to fit snugly in the tv to give extra
support to the ghost hand.

Take some of your craft wire, bend it over and stick it into the hand. I cut four pieces and
stuck them into each of the fingers, but this isn’t necessary. You really only need one piece,
folded over. Place the folded part into the hand, and stick the pointy ends of the wire into the
middle of the front of the tv screen (fig. C). This should pass through the tv screen and then
through the plastic canvas (fig. D). Then fold the wire over to secure it to the plastic canvas.
Once it is all in place, you will be sewing the hand directly onto the tv screen (fig. E).

Carol Anne
Television Continued
Once you have secured the ghost hand to the television, you can start working on the back
panel. This will close up the television.
The back panel will be worked in the round as well but in BOTH loops again. You will be
decreasing 3 stitches in each corner. The easiest way to do this is for you to take four stitch
markers and place one in each of the corner stitches. When you get to the stitch right before
the marker, remove that stitch marker and decrease through those next THREE stitches
(sc3tog). Place your stitch marker back in the stitch you just completed, That will be your
next corner stitch. Repeat this around until the box almost closes. The last little opening will be
sewn shut with your needle and matching yarn.
For those who prefer complete written instructions, please see below.
For EVERYONE, make sure you first sc 9 and then make this your new ending stitch.
First!! sc 9. Place your new ending stitch marker here. Now continue
on..
sc 6, (sc3tog), sc 11, (sc3tog), sc 5. finish off, stuff the tv and then sew the
10 24
rest closed.
Television Continued
Find your four corners and mark them with a stitch marker. Since the box in the round can
look a little wonky, you can find the corner stitches by locating the corner from the front of
the tv panel and then pinching the side. This will show you exactly where it needs to be.
3 2 1
When you get to the stitch before the stitch marker (1) you will decrease by sc through
these three stitches ( 1, 2 and 3). Put your stitch marker into the new stitch made. That
will be your new corner.
