items indicate the training that you need to go through in order to prepare for the quiz for that topic. Training
topics can either be eLearning content or instructor-led training, depending on the topic. To know more about
the topic, click on the Click Here link in the Details section of the checklist or scroll down to the learning detaisl

Required Exercises
Advanced Saved Searches
Scenario 1: The accounting department regards balances that have been overdue for a longer period as ones
that have a lesser chance of getting paid back.
 As one way to measure this, they would like to perform a simple calculation of Overdue Balance * Days
Overdue, calling this the “True Balance.”

We will need to execute a simple formula to measure this:

 The result should be displayed as a currency value, but rounded to the next highest whole number.
 The built in Round function goes to the nearest whole number.
 To go to the highest whole number, we need to build a formula using the SQL expression CEIL.

Saved Search Results Columns should show:

1. Name
2. Overdue Balance
3. Days Overdue
4. True Balance
5. True Balance (rounded)
6. True Balance (higher integer)

Please recreate the scenario on the demo account in NetSuite and write your proposed solution here:

Scenario 2: To plan the sales strategy and better predict future revenue, the CEO needs to identify which
customers are generating the most revenue and which ones are not. They would like to see a consolidated list of
all customers in a grid.

He needs to see:
 The total amount of all customer invoices

NetSuite Bootcamp Checklist | ©2024 ScaleNorth Advisors. All Rights Reserved.

 The number of invoices from each customer
 The rank of each customer based on the amount of their invoices
 The percentage of spending per invoice
 The average invoice amount

To help perform the analysis, they also need to have the flexibility to view the data from different perspectives.
Create a Saved Search with filtering options so users can refine the Search results.

Saved Search Results Columns should show:

1. Customer Name
2. Total Amount of Invoices (paid in full)
3. # of Invoices (paid in full)
4. Spending Rank (1 is low)
5. Percentage of Total Spend
6. Average Invoice Value

Please recreate the scenario on the demo account in NetSuite and write your proposed solution here:

Scenario 3: ABC Company has an upcoming trade show, and the marketing team wants a list of
customers to invite.

They want a list of customers in the Subsidiary* who have purchased specific items** or have
made purchase within the last 12 months. On the results of the Search they want to know when
did the first sale to the customer happen.

NOTE: Feel free to use any subsidiary and item record on the demo account.

Results should show:

 Name of the Customer
 Main contact person
 Phone
 Email
 Subsidiary
