TRRS MUN EVENT

The halls of TRRS echoed with debates and intellectual discourse as the school hosted a
memorable Model United Nations (MUN) program over the course of two days. Bringing
together a diverse cohort of students, the event proved to be a success, fostering global
awareness and critical thinking amongst the participants.
The MUN program, a hallmark of TRRS’s commitment to holistic education, saw pupils
assuming the roles of delegates representing various countries. This presented them with an
opportunity to tackle pressing global issues within the simulated framework of the United
Nations. From economic concerns to human rights and safety, delegates engaged in rigorous
research and debate, showcasing their insights and problem-solving skills.

Day one commenced with an electrifying opening ceremony, conducted by our very own
Middle School Prefect, (doubling as the Secretary General) Tia Bhatia, who had
charismatically set the tone for the days ahead. Delegates then delved into committee
sessions, 4 in total, where they navigated complex geopolitical landscapes, collaborated with
peers, and negotiated resolutions to address multifaceted challenges facing the world.
Throughout the program, students exhibited remarkable diplomacy and eloquence,
articulating their countries’ positions with poise and conviction. From seasoned MUN
veterans to first-time participants, each delegate contributed unique perspectives, enriching
the discussions and broadening their understanding of global affairs.

The second day of the program witnessed an intensified debate as delegates worked tirelessly
to finalize resolutions. During intense discussions and lively debates, delegates demonstrated
unwavering commitment to finding common ground and crafting viable solutions to complex
global problems.

As the program ended, awards were presented to delegates who were deemed the best, had
the finest resolutions and of course, those who performed the most amusing sanctions. The
Best Chairs were also recognized and awarded for their hard work and perseverance
throughout the course of the two days.
The TRRS MUN program concluded with a sense of fulfillment and camaraderie, leaving
participants inspired to become active global citizens.
