a- 1 cm = 100 m c- 0.25 cm = 0.5 km
b- 0.5 inch = 1 mile d- 6 mm = 300 zeraa

2. Construct a graphical scale 1 cm = 250 m to read up 50 m and show 2.10 km.

3. Construct a graphical scale whose R.F is 1: 2500 to read up 5 m, then show the
reading 30 m and 60 m on the scale.

4. Construct a graphical scale whose R.F is 1: 200 to read up 40 cm, then show the
reading 4.4 m and 7.2 m on the scale.
5. Construct a graphical scale whose R.F is 1: 1000 to read up 2 m, then show the
reading 32 m and 46 m on the scale.
6. Construct a graphical scale whose R.F is 1: 100 to read up 20 cm, then show the
reading 3.2 m, 4.60 m and 6.8 m on the scale.
7. Construct a graphical scale whose R.F is 1: 5000 to read up 2 m, then show the
reading 138 m and 384 m on the scale.
8. Construct a graphical scale whose R.F is 1: 100 to read up 5 cm, then show the
reading 3.7 m and 5.35 m on the scale.
9. A 1.2 km along road is indicated in a map by a length of 30 cm. Find the scale of
the plot and construct a scale to read up 1 m on the map, then show the readings
334 m and 416 m on the scale.
