CTBC Agent Spam Letter
CTBC Agent Spam Letter
•
June 13, 2017
We would like to issue this reminder and request for support to ensure that all our accredited Personal
Loans (PL) Sales Executive have been made aware of CTBC Bank's position on the issue of unsolicited
text messaging or SPAM texting. We do not condone such practice and seek your help in dutifully
reminding our accredited agents not to pursue this prospecting practice. To manifest our
commitment to support such position, we are in the process of updating our policies to consider more
stringent provisions and sanctions intended for all our sales channels and service providers.
The National Telecommunications Commission together with major Telecommunication service providers
are taking more serious steps in curbing the use of unsolicited or unwanted text messaging. We are one
with them on this and would like to seek your support in promoting such across your agency.
We will not hesitate to impose severe penalties to the extent of disaffiliation without prejudice to legal
remedies for any liability that the Bank may incur, should there be findings that this directive is not
heeded.
Thank you.
Respectfully yours,
